ANCA | Screening assay for antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) screening test - this indicator helps to diagnose Wegener's granulomatosis and allows differentiation of primary biliary cirrhosis from sclerosing cholangitis. This indicator is also useful in differentiating ulcerative colitis. Wegener's granulomatosis begins to be investigated after establishing a specific triad: granulomatous airway inflammation, vasculitis, glomerulonephritis.
