Bismuth

Bismuth is a metal that is used in the production of medicines. Bismuth is usually included in the composition of various salts. Bismuth salts are used in the treatment of inflammation of the colon (colitis), constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, H. Pylori infection, stomach ulcers and hemorrhoids. Bismuth salt helps eliminate bacteria, improves blood clotting, and reduces the amount of stomach acid. Long-term use of bismuth preparations can lead to kidney failure. It is not recommended to use bismuth preparations during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
