FSH | Follicle stimulating hormone

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) – regulates and stimulates the growth and function of the gonads (ovaries and testicles). In the female body, FSH together with LH stimulates estrogen secretion and ovulation. Due to changes in ovarian function and decreased estrogen secretion, FSH levels are high during menopause. In men, FSH induces the development of spermatogonia. The FSH concentration test is used to explain hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal system function disorders.
