Molybdenum

Molybdenum is involved in the activity of three enzyme systems. It also participates in the synthesis of hemoglobin and can prevent the development of dental caries. The concentration of molybdenum in the blood increases in almost all liver diseases. Molybdenum can be deficient in extremely rare inherited metabolic diseases. Molybdenum supplements in food and injections do not help control these diseases. It is doubtful whether molybdenum deficiency or excess can cause more severe pathology. Its concentration in the human blood is highly dependent on the amount of this substance in the living area. Molybdenum causes salt deposition, gout, and reduces the amount of vitamin C in the liver.
