Rezus.lt 15 years on the market: customer loyalty and development

Rezus.lt, a medical testing laboratory based in Šiauliai, has been operating for 15 years and today boasts a team of more than 200 specialists and a wide range of services in six Lithuanian cities. In addition to tests, Rezus.lt offers family medicine, outpatient home care, laboratory diagnostics and specialist consultations.

"We have always been known as a reliable testing laboratory. Over the past year, more than 50 new colleagues have joined us, most of them doctors. Every decision a doctor makes is based on diagnostics, which also increases the health literacy of patients. We try to show patients that tests are important not only for diagnosing diseases, but also for preventing them", says Aurėja Čalnarė, Project Development Manager.

Clinics are expanding their range of services throughout Lithuania, including the Rezus.lt clinic, which will be operating in Vilnius PPC ,,Ozas" from 2022. The clinic's strategic location, convenient parking, the possibility to receive medical services promptly and to get answers to tests quickly have met expectations and this year the clinic has expanded not only in terms of space, but also in terms of treatment services. The Rezus.lt laboratory, where the tests are carried out, is just a few kilometres from the medical campus of Santaros Clinics. The Rezus.lt Clinic's package of services is based on the intensive lifestyle of modern people. It offers laboratory tests, vaccinations, medical consultations (live or remote), preventive health check-ups for medical certificates (for work, driving, school), and emergency assistance from a family doctor at weekends.  Visitors to the clinic also liked the new service launched at the end of the summer - personal and group exercise with a physiotherapist.

Daiva Kazlauskienė, Director of ,,Rezus.lt", draws attention to the law that will come into force on 1 January 2025, according to which drivers will not be able to drive without a medical certificate. These days it is difficult to get to your family clinic to get a certificate, so drivers are encouraged to visit Rezus.lt clinics.

"With the start of next year, when it will be impossible to drive without a health certificate, we have reorganised the work of the clinic at PPC ,,Ozas" to accommodate more drivers for health checks. The expanded clinic in the shopping centre sees patients every day and at weekends, which is particularly convenient for working people," comments the manager. - The check-ups check a person's general condition, blood pressure, pulse rate, hearing and visual functions and other physical characteristics that may affect driving ability. Medical tests such as blood, urine, electrocardiogram and other tests are also carried out to detect possible health problems or diseases, taking into account the person's personal characteristics and age.

"Rezus.lt strives to be a modern, green organisation, so orders for tests, answers, and the patient's medical history are kept only on computer media, and all information is transferred to e-sveikata.

"Reducing infectious waste, the use of vacuum systems, packaging waste, the use of minimum sample volumes for test materials, the preparation and reuse of packaging materials for sample transport, the reduction of chemical waste, and the control of chemical quantities through the management of stocks used for testing are challenges we face in our daily work", says U. Selvenienė, Deputy Director for Management, about the changes in the modernisation of medical research.

This is a policy that appeals to young professionals, the majority of whom are in the team.

"I am pleased that we have a team of scientific staff and that we are actively involved in experimental activities to develop new products.  Today, we are involved in three projects, both on our own and in partnership. One of them is an experimental research project "Roboticisation of the Medical Diagnostic Laboratory" under the call "InoPažanga" published by the Public Innovation Agency, which aims to modernise and robotize certain processes in the laboratory. The other one is a very advanced project in the development of the EU Investment Action Programme's progress measure "Establishing a coherent framework for the promotion of innovative activities" "InoStartas".  We have also received support from the European Union under the project "Improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in Šiauliai municipality". This support is intended to equip the team of specialists providing outpatient nursing services at home with the necessary equipment", - says A. Čalnarė, Project Development Manager.

What motivates the Rezus.lt team to achieve high results every day? According to Čalnarė, it is the desire to create an attractive working environment for their medical staff, as this directly influences the quality of patient care. They invest in the education, training and updating of technology, because treatment must always be based on reliable diagnostics.

With the long-standing trust of its patients and experienced specialists, Rezus.lt is moving forward to become a trusted participant and partner in the Lithuanian healthcare system.
